Bell strength is based on how long timer is set for. Weak or none at 5 min, adequate at 10 and great 15mins and longer.Very good looking, sturdy, high quality mechanical timer.Easy to set. Minutes remaining in red making it easy to see how much time is left.I use it for meetings. When i get the 15 min notification on my PC, I set timer for 13 mins. Ticking sound keeps me aware of meeting soon. When timer goes off, I join the meeting. Fixed problem of late to meetings because attention is too buried in another meeting or activity.

I like this timer and it works as it should but I have a gripe. It ticks as it is counting down and these ticks are not synchronized to seconds. Meaning it is close to 4 ticks per second but not exactly, more like 4 1/2. This seems petty but I use it as a productivity timer at my desk so I'm listening to the ticking as I work and the fact that it isn't "on beat" with seconds is quite distracting. Perhaps this is only an issue for me. Other than that it is great, the buzz is plenty loud and construction feels quality. The magnet is plenty strong to keep it in place while winding it. If there were exactly 4 or exactly 5 ticks per second I'd give it 5 stars.

This is placed central in our living space (with a sturdy magnet on its backside). It reminds me of when to check cooking, laundry, the generator, etc. I’m old, and I need reminding!It’s sturdy and attractive. The pleasant bell sound isn’t so loud that it’s startling, but it’s certainly audible (It just emits one ring).My younger relatives inquired as to where I got it, so I’m not the only one who likes it.

I attached the timer to my microwave so I could use it to time my oven. I like the look of the timer and the color red to indicate the desired minutes. The one comment I have that I don't like is you have to wind the clock all the way clockwise then go back and set the desired time. I'm hoping the constant moving of the dial this way will not wear out too soon. With other timers you just go to the required minutes and that's it. I did that once by accident and it did not work.

It’s magnetic I stick it on the fridge I stick it on the door of the oven or stick it on the range hood it’s perfect. Very quick and simple to set. It makes magnificent muffins.

I have had A LOT of bad luck with digital kitchen alarms the past couple years. I finally decided to try this. And I am glad I did!
