I am amazed with how perfect this usb hub is. Bought it as I currently have a stadia that requires a Chromecast ultra, however was not looking forward to purchasing 4 of them this hub has solved my problems as i cam connect to a variety of displays using its vga and hdmi ports to load the stadia app on my phone. With the added bonus of being able to connect it via the usb port and charge my phone at the same time. This hub is excellent and would recommend to anyone. Works wonderfully with my Huawei P30 pro as i can load my phone into desktop mode and use my phone like a mobile pc that i can use anywhere there is a screen.

Really love this gadget. So far it seems to just work and fits great with my macbook pro wires etc. I've tried hdmi and vga out and (assume because the thunderbolt port has power) seem to get a very stable signal. I also like colour and design including the dinky blue backlight around the ports.The only niggle (hence 4 stars) is that the usb port itself isnt powered. I can piggy back charge my Samsung phone via its USB C port, and can access documents from a normal USB pen drive in the USB port. I just cant use a normal USB to charge my ipad/e reader/smart watch so that means carrying a few extra bits around when I am away working. If it did that then it would be happy days. Unless it should and it doesnt work ! Other than that it should be 4.5 stars really. Great piece of kit.

For my Samsung Note 8/8 series, this 3rd party adaptor is brilliant for quick presentation from my phone onto a HDMI screen or VGA monitor. Unlike my actual DeX dock, this one works without needing to power it (at least for me at time of writing) and I now have two of these, one for travelling and one for work as backup to my main DeX. Where wifi direct Smart View isn't available, I've found this great for hotels and use in conference rooms, especially in places with poor phone and data reception knowing I can download some shows from Prime Video as backup. Being able to present from PowerPoint straight in this has been marvellous too, with a USB port for connecting my wireless slide clicker (as my S-Pen is previous gen so doesn't have bluetooth).

My laptop is a Dell Latitude 5400 (2019).I bought this primarily to use the USB type-C to output an HDMi signal to a 2nd monitor. It's doing this AND using its own HDMI socket to output to a 3rd monitor.It works a treat. No issues at all. Coincidentally I was having issues with the laptops built in headphone jack so I've now switched to using the one from this hub and that also works perfectly. I've tried using the USB 3 port on it at the same time too and that works. I haven't yet tried the USB C port or the VGA port for anything.Feels well made but light, compact and just worked without issues on Windows 10. Well recommended.

I bought this largely to make use of a second monitor on my laptop. When plugged in, all that seems to be picked up is the USB-A port. The 3.5mm jack, HDMI, and VGA appear not to work. I can't get any video output through either the VGA or HDMI. I have tried various cables, two different monitors, and even tried the hub with an external power source. There is very little actual help in the user booklet and seemingly no real user support. If there is a way to overcome these issues - i.e., make the VGA or HDMI outputs actually work - then I will gladly revise the review.

I wanted this implement to perform just 2 tasks both of which were unsuccessful1. To play films on hdmi from the ipad. Regrettably the connection between the usbc cable and the usbc socket on the ipad was so loose as to be unusable2. To watch films using an audio 3.5 mm earphone. This is impossible since when you try a message comes up on the ipad screen that you are sending images to a TV which you aren'tThus a pretty useless product

Does the job it needs to for a Microsoft surface 3. Reasonable build quality but it's a stationary item so feels as if it would last.Only criticism is the vga port could do with the x2 screw in standoffs as the cable could cause some play and come lose.

I don't know why I was expecting something bigger, but this little adaptor is brilliant. Most of the time sits on my desk and acts almost like a docking station for my Macbook pro. Also light and easy to cary when doing presentations. Hasn't failed me yet. Can't fault it.
