Uber Volume 2 (UBER TP)

If you're reading this, you no doubt are aware of the premise of Uber and its strengths and weaknesses. Suffice to say that Volume 2 exceeds Volume 1. The characters are more defined (particularly the Katyusha Maria character) and the plot stakes are raised; in Volume 2, the superhuman arms race expands, with both Japanese and Soviet superhumans entering the fray. The alternate history aspect of the series is even more pronounced here, going beyond Volume 1's basic setup of the changes being that the fighting stalemates and drags on for several months longer than it actually did and instead takes the war into completely uncharted waters, historically speaking. Occasionally it's still difficult to distinguish between some of the new (non-historical) characters, but in terms of battle scenes, Caanan White's artwork is even stronger than it already was. Can't wait for Volume 3

Was not expecting to like this as much as I do. Art and story are both ridiculously amazing.Volume 2 keeps the pace and feel of the first volume.
