Q: Is the smell overly sweet? I usually try to avoid vanilla

I don't like sickeningly sweet either. But, it's all a matter of opinion. What's too much for someone may or may not be, for someone else. Having said that, I will say: I don't like too many perfumes and I usually only like citrus-y and clean smells....but, I do, really like Boho Beach!

Here are the ingredients- Contains: SD Alcohol 40-B, Deionized Water, Fragrance, PEG-40, Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Propylene Glycol, Glycerin, Benzyl Cinnamate, Butylphenyl Methylpropional, Coumarin, Hydroxycitronellal

Q: Does this perfume smell like the beach?

Not really. To me the beach is a salty coconut smell. This perfume is a fruity scent with a hint of floral.
