Q: Why does the listing show in the title that this sensor has 45mp, and in the specs and write up that it has 35.4mp?

If you buy EOS R5 from Amazon, the sensor resolution automatically diminishes to 35.4 MP because Amazon often sells used or refurbished cameras as new. It happened to me with EOS 60D over a decade ago and I never bought cameras or expensive electronics from Amazon since then.

Q: will my EF lenses work on thi puppy?

yes but you will need an adapter that adapts the EF to the RF mount, I bought the basic canon adapter works great with my canon 24 - 105 and my sigma 150 - 600

Q: Any updates on the overheating issue...(the firmware update did not eactly work)?

Yes the new firmware 1.6 fixes the overheating problem and fixes the 30 minute recording time limit
