Does what it says - firm hold with no shine

Not having used fiber before, I was a bit unsure how how effective this would be for my hair.I can say that I have be pleasantly surprised with the hold and texture that this product has.It isn't too overbearing and extreme with it's hold, but allows for some flexibility with styling whilst keeping hair feeling somewhat soft.To add to this, it has a very pleasant fragrance that doesn't feel like you are putting something too unnatural on your head.Will more than likely purchase this again.

So a few people not getting on with AC fiber on here. This puzzles me. So for what it's worth here are a few observations and pointers from someone who has spent hundreds chasing down the uber gak for his hair over the years and why he no longer buys anything else.First of all, I would categorically not recommend it, personally, for hair over 2" long. I've tried it in mine when I let it get a little bit Sideshow Bob a couple of years ago and, though I can just about make it work, there are better products for hair over this length out there. I deem these recommendations for hair longer than 2" out of scope for this review so have fun finding them alternatives, ya damn hippies.For us shorties, a few tips.Best applied to *almost* completely dry hair. You know, when you're out of the shower, cursory towelled the head to stop major drips, dried the teabag and other associated areas and thrown on a T-shirt. T on, your now ready to coiff the mop. Towel dry so that your hair is separating into individual strands rather than clumping but not so dry that you could rub balloons on it to stick to the wall. If your hair is too dry, it'll make it extremely hard to work through your hair and you'll end up with sticky clumpy hair that looks like a tramp's dog's coat. If it gets too dry, dampen your hair through again and towel to almost dry.When you apply the small amount to use in your hands, make sure they aren't too warm. Yes, the stuff needs to spread but it works best at a cooler temperature where it spreads out smooth between the hands before you apply it. If you take it too far and warm you'll turn it greasy feeling and in turn your hair will turn and look greasy feeling. This sounds like what a lot of people on here with the negative reviews have experienced.There's a fine line between applying this and looking like a matt haired Adonis and someone who looks like they've just done a shift in a chippy.Perseverance is rewarded.Also it smells like lychees, not lemons. Olfactory senses on some reviewers, like their application technique, seem to be somewhat lacking.

The hold is excellent and a nice matt look whilst bringing out a bit of a rough/messy texture, without going too curly. Thickens the hair slightly too. Only takes a little bit of working into the palms before applying and goes in nice and easy.The only downside is the smell, not sure if mine is defective or something because others have described the smell as nice and "subtle", but mine has a strong chemically lemon scent that I find very overbearing, even when using a small amount. It also lingers for a long time and I can smell it throughout the day and makes me self conscious that others can smell it too. Very unpleasant smell. I don't think anybody needs such a strong fragrance for a hair product. It's a shame as I also have the defining paste which has a lovely subtle woody scent.While the styling effect of the product is great I don't think I'll buy again due to the obnoxious scent
