Update - 1/2019One Extra Star.Charger still works. I also upgraded the USB adopter that outputs 2A rather than 1A, which resolved the charging failures and blinking blue & green light issues. I don't recall seeing any instructions to use 2A in the box, but by using higher out USB adopter stabilized the charging sequence.It seems like I have to baby-sit this damn charging cradle... It's like having a really annoying girlfriend/boyfriend who is always demanding your time.Works OK with my iPhone 8. It does charge. But it charges with a drama. It could be my Otter Box or the types of app that are running in the background or any combination of things, but the phone will stop charging after 90-150 seconds and re-engages the charging device. And this will go on for awhile with annoying "pong" alert every time the phone re-engages the charging cradle. The frequency of this event is random, but it is often enough for me to write a review about it. Occasionally I will see blue and green light at the base of the charging device flashing fast after it charges for a few minutes, which can be corrected by resetting the phone on the charging cradle. I think green & blue flashing lights mean an error??? Who knows? There was no user manual card to explain any of these events.

Pros:-Good at keeping heat-generating elements away from phone, which helps maintain battery health.-Silent, unlike my fan-cooled charger (https://www.amazon.com/Zeekoo-Wireless-Charger-Charging-Cooling/dp/B077SNFKSS)Cons:-Charging port was always flimsy, and now it's broken. Have probably only plugged and unplugged it about 20 times total.-Appears to have some electrical issues that can only be resolved by plugging and unplugging it.-Uncomfortably bright blue light.-The cord retainer in the front isn't terribly useful due to size and positioning.-Struggles with the portfolio case on my S8.

I bought this wireless charger because I was tired of my charging cords breaking. This charger is wonderful! I just set it on my nightstand and sit my phone upright in it, and within a second or two I get the blue aura on my phone screen indicating wireless charging has started. It even works through my thick phone case.The charger itself is light, thin, and has a matte finish. It came with a cord that you insert into a standard cell phone charger plug (not included).I love being able to roll over and just set my phone on it, or pick up my phone, without worrying about the cord!

I received this charger today and using it on a iphone 8 with a Anker Ice case. Which is a TPU case with a metal band around the middle .I put a usb meter on the 2 amp wall charger and dropped my phone on the stand. The iphone was already charged to 50%. At 50 % the wireless charger was charging at 1.35 amps. Definitely charging at a higher rate than the standard oem charger included with phone.The wireless charger had no issues charging with the TPU case. Overall a great purchase.

I purchased this charger because the description said it had to charge and coils, I assumed that would make it more reliable. That was not the case at all. This thing was total garbage. Even without a case on my iPhone X this thing would not charge unless the phone was perfectly placed.

Works exactly as advertised. I use it to charge my iphone and to provide a way to access it while in bed. the price/performance is good. It never gets hot and it makes no noise.The only (very minor) thing I don't like, is the bright blue light. It's too bright for me and so I block it. However, that's a personal preference and not a defect. I just like my room very dark when I sleep.

Very small and lightweight/compact. Plugs into USB (no AC charger with this unit). I have a USB on my generic nightstand lamp, plugged this into that, charged my X from 50% to 100% in about an hour. So friggin happy to be done with lightning cables. Edit: forgot to mention the X has a spigen clear soft plastic case, the charger works without having to take the case off.

1 star for looks. After plugging it in i tried it 2 cases on my Galaxy S8. 1st was the Otterbox defender case. The result was : it didnt work. I guess the otterbox defender case was too thick. Than i used it on a Spigen Hybrid case. It did charge but only for a few mins and than the led lights start flashing. Ive tried this numerious times alsi with no case on the s8 and it charges for a few mins and than stops. Will be returning this.
