Innovations New Valve SEAT Cutter Set - 12 Cutter Carbon Steel Set - Vintage CAR Bike Engine

So far I have only cut four valve seats and it seems to work OK. I am using this on old cast iron seats, I do not think it is made for modern carbide seats although the steel is very hard.I tried to turn down the diameter on one on a lathe and a carbide cutting tool did not work. The threads between the cutting head and its holder are very tight which is not bad as you do not want any slop, and the guide rods seemed to fit well in my motor although I did not mike them all to check tolerances.The box which some reviewers seem to obsess about is not fancy but does its purpose, the cutting edges do not touch each other so it should be no problem.My set was shipped from an amazon warehouse so shipping time was not a problem. I think this set is good for a guy that like to tinker with old motors and wants a low price set for valve work

It got my job done but I was a little worried at how some of the pieces came out. Thankfully everything I needed was straight enough to call it good. This tool set is definitely just a "get me by" tool set.

I just received this order today and I'm already disappointed. All the pieces to this order are in a home made box made out of galvanized sheet metal. There is no way to even latch the box shut. The edges are bent 180 degrees outward so there are no sharp edges. All the pieces in the box are not in individual compartments but just stacked in it with little pieces of styrofoam cut and sandwiched between the parts. When you use it, there will be no way to protect the cutting edges from bumping into each other. Obviously I will have to find another way to store them. I wasn't expecting a lot considering the price but they would be better off not selling them at all. I'm sure when I use it, I will be even further disappointed. I'm totally surprised Amazon even allows junk like this to be sold on their website. Don't buy this item. I'd rate it 0 stars but it wouldn't let me.

I'm not sure what everyone else is talking about? The set arrived today, and yeah the packaging is lack luster (so what?). Reamed a complete new seat out perfectly without any problems. This is a hand tool and requires a steady constant pressure. This will not cut hardened seats. I put a new steel aloy seat in the head I have, and within 15 minutes by hand the job is done. The tools work as they should. Obviously these are to clean up old cast iron heads, but I completely cut a new seat by hand in 15 minutes. The tool works as designed and it will be a new goto tool now for a quite a while. Must have tool! This will pay for itself the first time you use it!

The product worked very well for me on the 1952 Ford 8n I am working on. I had a seat that was pitted. I was able to use this product to help clean it up.

Doesn't seem like the cutters work.

This "set" was clearly produced in a back alley out of scrap metal.If you want to ruin any project you are working on, please buy these cutters.None of the tools were accurate or measured for accuracy,

did not come with everything and wore out before I got 6 valve seats done and they were cast iron seats
