A GOOD TO GO SYSTEM WITH MANY APPLICATIONS
This is the best DIY system I have used. It’s a great value with many bells and whistles, I like the touchy/feely of this system so much I bought a second one for testing with a vending business, yes I install this unit on the back of the vending machine to monitor and control movement within the locations of my units. Door and movement indication of the ATM, video, and I even mounted the keypad right on the back of the ATM so the business owner can disarm the big outdoor wireless siren if needed. All components add/delete easily by scanning QR codes or direct entry as well. Keypad has visual indication of armed mode for easy viewing, as does the smaller siren. Components have great range and the remotes work up to about 100 meters. The App for iOS or Android is excellent for easy viewing status and notifications as well as control. App works flawlessly on cell connected over WiFi but I initially had trouble using various cell data networks. The customer support folks, yes in China, but they are responsive and have been working with me to find a solution for the App to work over various signal qualities of cell data networks. The system with the App has easy programmable time of day initiated control and arming features and the App can be shared with unlimited others as Admin/User/Guest authority users by simply scanning a QR code the App will generate, you then simply have your house guest or employee scan the QR code from your App. You can give this access to a third party in literally seconds, they can then arm/disarm/ see status etc...and when your guest or employee leaves you can also delete from your master App in seconds. System will run over LAN network and fall back to WiFi if LAN goes down. Personally, I configured the fallback WiFi to be a Hot Spot from a “pay as you go” burner cell that I install onto the vending machine, instead of the WiFi which is typically on the same router and fails at the same time. This gives true backup redundancy for control and monitoring. The “GSM network only” SIMM card offers selectable SMS status to users and also will work if LAN and WiFi is lost. You can’t run the App over the SIMM card for normal monitoring and control but it is a third redundancy for status, so if you lose LAN and WiFi you will still get a message if it goes into an alarm state. This is a very versatile and reliable system that can be used for many applications. Currently the basic starter box with a motion sensor, two door detectors, two RFID’s (can use at keypad for no code arming and disarming ability) the keypad, and all under $200 just can’t be beat. The IPCamera does have an issue with the password entry/reset popping up often as another review stated, but like I said the support people are responsive and I’m sure this will be resolved or maybe a different camera mfg will resolve this, but the advertised camera does work nicely with movement control and recording/playback.

Excellent Item and Support
This alarm system is excellent, with features that are easy to add on, if necessary.ProsVery easy and intuitive setupHome mode allows for partial arming to accommodate differing levels of securityApp tells you status of your house security no matter where you are in the world.Remote arm/disarm2 sirens for larger homes, one on the keypad and one on the baseKey fob for those who shy away from using the appCell phone alarms when there is a breachMotion sensors do not go off due to pets, but will with humansStatus of alarm is logged on cell phone to keep track of arm, disarm, partial arm changesCustomer support is excellentApp constantly runs in the background to give you live updates on your phone of security statusThis company is open to suggestion and responds very well to customer suggestionsPotential to add wireless proprietary camera to the system eventually. (may already be able by the time I write this)No monthly fee for monitoring, it's all youHas SIM card capabilityConsIf you have an S9 it is sometimes required to close all apps before launching their app (I have let them know, and they indicated that they are working to solve that glitch).OverallAbsolutely, this is worth the money. Easy set up, and certainly developing new ideas in home security.SuggestionIf you have your system partially armed and you are in a large home, be sure to be charging your cell phone where you are sleeping or watching TV, etc. as you need to be able to call 911 when you hear the siren. Have 2 phone chargers, for example, one upstairs and one downstairs, and keep your phone close at all times.

home alarm
Very happy with this home alarm. I just wanted one that would make a loud noise and did not want to connect to police department, etc. I wanted something to alert me to a door/window being opened and protection at night and while I am away. My only installation issue was initially with the app. I tried for a day to register an account and couldn't. I thought I was stuck. After emailing with the company, I learned you do that as a LAST step after adding all your alarm devices. Once I learned that, everything was a snap and I am a 65 year old woman, not techie. Very pleased with ability to run this from my phone, or with remote, keypad or tiles....all included! I did not install the motion detector, as I did not need that. I have a trilevel house and did add a second siren to the lower level, as you couldn't not hear to keypad sounds from the lowest door. I found the customer service quite responsive.

Challenged by connecting to WiFi and its default password not recognized
I messed with this piece of hardware for most of a day trying to get it to connect via LAN or WiFi to a variety of mainstream hardware (like Netgear and Sophos XG 85 Wifi). It simply cannot interface with real hardware whether by LAN (and you specify the settings) or by Wifi where, after handshake, it is issued its Wifi IP and so on via, wait for it...dhcp. Also found the connection speed is around 1Mb/sec but that should not be too bad since it does nothing requiring more. And, last, the default password of the device (that you never change) sometimes is accepted when you connect via their "app" and, at other times, is not accepted. I would have thought, by now, hardware such as from this manufacturer would have been of better quality.

Easy to install and use
The system arrived ready to go, all sensors were already paired to the host. Just had to connect to WiFi, register, install sensors and the system was up and running. Had a couple of questions about additional features and the response from support was great! Very easy system to install, setup and use! Looking forward to adding additional accessories as they are released.I had never heard of Larmtek before so I was a little skeptical but I have to say, so far I am very pleased with their products and timely support. I will be ordering more products from Larmtek in the future.
