Camera worked exactly as expected. I plugged it right into my retrofit system and away it went. The distance lines were at an odd angle for my installation so I cut the wire and removed them. Still trying to figure out if my retrofit kit is capable of the AHD option, but right now it's working perfectly. In my case, I use the red wire that feeds with the video cable and hooked it to my retrofit kits power lead for a rear camera. A couple of the install videos I watched suggested that the ground can cause interference, and suggested not to use the ground wire. So I didn't. Seems to working fine though.

Picked this up to install in a 2012 Passat. Installation was /relatively easy, and it fit perfectly in the spot where the old handle was. I'm never a fan of having to run wires the entire length of the car, but the included wire was helpful, and it was pretty easy to get connected to my stereo. Picture quality is just okay, but there are no issues with visibility at night or in the dark. The angle itself is also a bit odd; I am always stopping when the blue lines get to the car behind me, because if you go all the way to the green (at least in my Passat) you will end up /very close to the car behind you. Still, I am super happy with this camera, nice upgrade to my old Passat.

I got it installed on my old Tiguan which has an aftermarket Android 11 stereo and I had previouly wired a shielded video cable and power. So the install was quick and the fit was perfect. This camera and the trunk button work well but keep in mind that I used a shielded video cable and hat makes a lot of difference. If you don’t have a shielded cable you can even use a TV coaxial cable, which is shielded, with the appropriate connectors. I make remarks on the shielded as from my experience it makes a world of difference. It isn’t the same to bench test it in your home and then try it in your car. There are a lot of interference sources in your car that can affect the video quality. I do not notice it getting super hot which is usually the issue with some of these aftermarket cameras.

This fits exactly like the original backup camera for our Audi A4. It comes with cables long enough to connect directly to the console and also works by plugging in to your existing wiring if you don’t need to replace the whole wire kit.I was really happy to see that the bolts, plastic frame, and clips were all in the right places for an easy install. Prices for OEM versions of this ranged a lot and I wouldn’t hesitate to buy this one for the value. It seems high quality and the picture quality is great.

Spent hours waiting this to my system. Ran the cables, checked every trouble shooting video and guidance.Connected the RCA cable into the camera cable and ran it from the trunk to the front. I took my entire unit out, plugged the RCA cable in and the red wire to the camera power wire in the head unit (the red wire which is with the RCA cable. Then went back, plugged the power lead up, connected the red power cable from there to the backup light. Overall, when the picture works, it's great picture quality. It kicks in right away when I run the cable. Perfect fir for my US 2011 Audi A4 with concert. Rather straightforward installation but instructions need to be more detailed.As of right now, the reverse camera flickers when I am backing up and doesn't give a stable picture. The guidelines and all work fine and I had to run it in AHD 720p at 30hz but no luck. Will try to troubleshoot it more but this does not need to be rocket science.

Great simple camera that happens to be molded into a handle. There's no way to aim it, but the stock orientation is pretty good and fits well. I like that it's all one big unit for the sake of water resistance.From an installer perspective I really enjoy that the power wire is short and detachable, unlike the high-end Alpine camera where you have to run a long wire all the way to the dash, then run power wires all the way back to a light. This camera was functional with my ILX-W650, which is an NTSC w/ CVBS format. That means it will display at 720x480 and uses the yellow RCA jack cable and the CVBS communication formatThis being a lower-cost camera, it's wise to ensure it's powered on only when in-use. You can do this by splicing together the reverse lamp reference wire to the power wire of the camera, and then running a single wire for both back to the headunit.
