Great value for the money
I recently learned that the pre-packaged shredded cheese I frequently purchase has an ingredient to keep the cheese from clumping, which also keeps it from being creamy and cheesy in prepared dishes. So I purchased this for the purpose of buying block cheese that I can shred for my recipes. It's true-- the cheese is creamier and cheesier when I shred it myself. To my pleasant surprise, it thin-slices radishes perfectly like the way salads and sandwiches are garnished with radishes in fancy restaurants. I also use it for a quick way to add shredded carrots to cake, coleslaw, salads, and soup.I'm left-handed & it is even easy to operate and to clean. Actually surprised at how easy it is to use, given the low price. I found a basket for all the parts & now keep it on the kitchen counter because I use it so much.

Better than a hand grater
Ok it's not a food processor. Lots of plastic. The grating barrels are lethal! Very sharp. It's easy to put together and take apart. Easy enough to clean. I've grated Parm and Ramano cheeses with both grating blades. If you cut them up into chunks it does better and doesn't "stall" or jam. I thought I'd just do what I needed for recipes as I went. But it grated that block of cheese so fast I just did the whole thing and put the extra cheese in a container. The suction thing on the bottom. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Probably the type of counter tops I have. Still works. If you man handle this thing it will break. If you have things that are 20 years old you'll be fine. If things just disintegrate in your hands like my husband this is not the grater for you! I found a container that holds all the barrels so they aren't rolling around in the cupboard. I like it. Glad I bought it and heaven help me I think it's kind of cute!

I love this grater.
Oh my gosh it works perfectly and I've used it numerous times on all types of vegetables and apples. I will admit that celery doesn't work well unless you peal the top of it, you know to get the strands off of it, otherwise the the rest of it cuts just not the top and onions don't grate or slice well. It grates a block of cheese, but I like to put my cheese in the freezer for a few minutes before I grate it. This is no different. The machine itself stays put on the counter. I have to also tell you that I went to one of those fancy steakhouses and wanted a salad with my meal. I loved the way they presented the salad with grated carrot and zucchini, so I'm now doing the same thing with my grater at home. Salads look gorgeous using this grater.Last but not least, the grater is very easy to clean and doesn't take up much room in the cupboard so I have easy access to it whenever I need it. Love, love, love this grater....so glad I bought it.

Works great but doesn't last long
This does a great job grating cheese quickly. However, after about 6 uses, the piece that holds the handle on broke...unusable! I even went so far as to buy a second one because I really like it....handle broke on that one too. Really bummed.

Good design and works well.
So far so good. I will see how long it lasts. I got this model even though I don't particularly like the color, because it said it was a "second generation" design. It has one large piece in the body vs two as the other models seem to have. It may be more durable as well. It works fine with beets which are very hard so it should be easy for other things as well. When you clamp it down on the counter it really sticks, which is important for stability. Blades are sharp enough as well. Easy to assemble and disassemble for cleaning.

Suction power is so-so . Metal blades are not sturdy enough
Suction power is so-so . Few drops of water may help. Grater works fine.Update: had to downgrade: the piece of Romano cheese actually was enough to deform the rotor and take it out of commission (see the pic). The suction proved to be not adequate.

Great until handle broke-UPDATE
This grater seems well built and worked like a champ, but the clip within the handle broke after just a few uses. The handle is no longer clipped onto the drum which renders it unusable. I have attempted to find a way to contact the manufacturer for a replacement part, but cannot find any contact information.Update-2-3-2019 the vendor read my review and sent me an email indicating they wanted to correct the issue. They provided me a new handle at no charge and I am very pleased.

Looses Suction or no suction.
I ordered two units. The first one worked very well for 4 years and then completely lost suction. Ordered a second unit because I liked the first so well but the rubber base was molded incorrectly and it never had any suction. Threw them both away. Would not recommend.
