Professional Wooden Slant Board, Adjustable Incline Board and Calf Stretcher, Stretch Board - Extra Side-Handle Design for Portability

This ramp board is a nice piece. It feels very solid. However, the manufacturer decided to apply a varnish or polyurethane to the wood PRIOR to adding the grip tape. This created a barrier and doesn't allow the tape to stick.Mine was peeling up as I took it out of the box. In order to attempt to prevent this, I applied contact cement under the grip tape, but even that wouldn't stop the tape from sliding off the moment you step onto the box and apply a sheer force to the tape as your foot tries to slide down the box.If they were smart, they would have either put the tape on before the varnish, or applied the varnish, sanded down the areas where the tape would go, then apply it. Obviously they chose not to do this, and if I wanted to do that much work, I could just build the thing from scratch myself. Not a complicated design.

I subscribe to P.volve workouts and I really wanted to begin working with the slant board but didn't want to spend $89 before taxes for the slant board with the P.volve logo. Never mind that I had never even heard of a slant board. I searched Amazon as usual and I found this here Professional one. I received it in barely 3 days which was great. When I opened the box it was packed very securely and so as to prevent potential damage to the product. It was immediately clear that this board was made from high quality material and is solid!! I fiddled around with a few moves (recovering from a recent moderate ankle sprain) and I am confident that I made the right decision. If you're looking for a quality solid, high quality slant board, save yourself the 30+ greenbacks and buy this one!!

I’ve had the slant board for about 18 months now and it has been very helpful in stretching my tight calves. However, the grip strips don’t last very long and have all come off. I’ve replaced them with the extra strips that were sent when I purchased the board. Now I need more. I sent an email to the company to find out how to purchase more grip strips and no one has gotten back to me. This is very frustrating, it makes the slant board unusable. If I had known the strips were not replaceable I never would have purchased this particular board.

This slant board has so much going for it in the sturdy and durable end of things, but for something that you need to be rock solid in where it sits, well, there's a bi problem. The bottom has four, round, grippy circles stuck on the corners like an afterthought. I found one of these mystery items sitting on my kitchen floor (where I unboxed the package). Took me a while to figure out what the heck it was and where it had come from. I put the board down on the living room carpet, had it slip around alarmingly, then found another one of those mystery circles. Aha! So, because of carelessness/foolish economy, they turned what should have been a great product into one that could be a legal liability.I solved the issue by applying grippy tape (https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B077KGCBJL/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1) to the bottom runners. That made a big difference., but it shouldn't be the customer's responsibility to "fix" such basic issues when those issues should never have arisen.With that fixed, the one drawback to the slant board is its weight. I don't suppose most people who would buy one of these has a problem wrangling a few pounds of wood, but it could be an issue for some customers. The adjustment for increasing the slant of the board is easily made, more easily raising the slant than decreasing it. But it's not going to be a challenge. Perhaps I shouldn't have taken off two stars for the funky rubber circles and their failure to function, but it smacks of cutting corners foolishly without consideration to the repercussions. Easy problem for them to fix, though, or for the customer.

In preparation for my first Marathon this March, I have just completed the first 9 weeks of Hal Higdon's 18-week intermediate plan. The progressively increasing weekly mileage has often fatigued my entire body, and my calves in particular. This product helps me to relax not only my calf area but also my ankle and knee joints. It is adjustable, but even the lowest position provides ample stretch. It's got friction stripes, which helps me to be stable on the product. I placed it right by my Sofa, so it is easy for me to step onto it for just a few minutes once in a while when I watch TV. I definitely recommend this for runners, especially those who log long distances.

I just purchased the slant board on 6-23 and started using it on 6-26. It was recommended by my physical therapist. I have plantar fasciitis and need to stretch my calves daily. Using my wall at home for stretching my calves took me eight minutes, now it only takes me four minutes to stretch. The slant board gives me an excellent stretch.

I purchased the NEW Model Professional Mid-Size Wooden Slant Board at the recommendation of my physical therapist to work on stretching my calves and Achilles tendons. It is a solidly built, easy to adjust, nicely finished example of good workmanship that has already made a difference for me. Sadly for me, I did not receive a free sample in exchange for a review - this is just my impression of a very well made and useful physical therapy tool that I paid for myself.

The grip tape is not asthetically or evenly placed. I do not have time to send it back for a replacement so I'm going to do my best fix it. I am not thrilled I spent nearly $60 on this. I would personally suggest another manufacturer. Also there is gummy saw dust on the bottom and edges that is now in my carpet. Just an all around disappointment.

Great board but kind of annoying to have payed this much and it have such cheap grip tape that constantly keeps peeling off. Will honestly have to go and buy new tape so it doesn’t peel off every other day like it currently does.

Received this item in double-boxed packaging (Thanks to Amazon) . Also tried on the product and it's sturdy enough for my subsequent exercise regimen. Hope I can really benefit from it.
