I ordered these pillow cases a bit skeptical as I have been burned by online shopping before, especially involving bedding. However I could not find the right color/fabric combo in stores. I quick search led me to these pillow cases.I ordered two of them and they arrived very quickly which was exciting. Upon opening the package, I was treated with a beautiful thin box instead of a plastic bag. I pulled the materials out and was immediately taken back by how beautiful the navy color was. Just as rich if not more as the photos. Super slick feeling and I was lucky enough to have found a single thread left in the box (there were no loose threads on the actual pillow case).Upon finding the thread I conducted a burn test. Sure enough. The faint smell of burnt hair met my nose. It crumbled in my hands as was suggested to happen with real silk. I believe these to be the real deal, especially given my hair has that “Yeah, I totally got out of bed looking like this” vibe which I am digging because it’s true! So soft and lush!The fabric is very well woven. I compared it to a recent 1000 thread count sheet set I also purchased from a local bedding and bath store, which I included a photo so you too can compare. Sorry about the wrinkles. I had just opened it.I also included a photo of the fabric against a tape measure so you can see the size of the weave pattern. The drape is delicate but substantial and catches the light and shadows to give a beautiful range of navy, light, and dark blues.I purchased the King sized pillowcases and they were pleasantly true to size as my husband and I enjoy a quite plush, full, and firm pillow. Seriously, these things are pretty massive and have little give so I was nervous they would stress the zippers. I put the case on and found it to look plump but still zip up perfectly fine. Almost as if it were tailored. Beautiful fill.The color is rich and decadent and holds it self perfectly with various textures as well as warmer and cooler color schemes. My current go to is whites, navy, greys, light beige, and minor touches of mauve for a little warmth. These compliment all those colors so much better than I had hoped. They blend without disappearing and stand tall while not outperforming the other colors. I can’t wait to see them with the headboard my husband and I are building!They appear to be durable. My husband has a beard and his facial hair can sometimes be a bit rough. So far I haven’t noticed any I’ll side affects from this type of abrasion. I fluff my pillows daily with the cases still on and they have held up wonderfully.Washing is a little tricky with silk. I have washed them once so far in a plastic tote I purchased and I used distilled water (I have hard water and didn’t want to use that) and special designed silk shampoo. I let them soak about 30 minutes and then gently agitate with my hands. If I have any serious staining I would probably take them to my dry cleaners. I gently wrapped them in a soft cotton cloth and applied small amount of pressure to remove most of the water and then laid them out flat to air dry about 4 hours. So far the have maintained their beautiful luster and softness.When it comes time to retire these, I will definitely be reordering as they exceeded my expectation and then some. There is no better value for the price. Don’t hesitate to order these, they are fantastic!UPDATE: I purchased an in home water softener system and decided to give these a try in the washer. I used the cold wash/cold rinse setting, my traditional tide laundry detergent (maybe a tablespoon worth for just these), and washed on the delicate setting in a lingerie bag. I air dried them as normal and they came out perfectly fine.So far they have held up fine minus one of the zippers coming a little loose, but my pillows are almost 40" in diameter, and are fluffed every morning in the case so that could be the reason.

Never in a million years would I have thought just changing to silk pillowcases could make such a positive impact on my skin and hair - I wish I'd found them sooner! I am a middle aged woman with long gray hair and I sleep on my back and my side. Since buying my first one of these pillowcases last year my hair has definitely gotten softer and shinier and my complexion has improved (I don't wake up with pillow creases on my face anymore, either). I went on a trip recently and could really tell the difference after sleeping on a percale pillowcase for a few days. I put on my moisturizer at night before bed, for example, and it's like the cotton pillowcase soaked it all up by morning! So the benefits of the silk pillowcase are subtle but definitely there! I am buying a matching pillowcase for my husband as he's recently grown a full beard and in addition to keeping his whiskers soft and shiny, I think he'll sleep cooler and more comfortably on the silk, too. This pillowcase washes well on gentle cycle and line-dries quickly. It is very good value for the money. These come wrapped in a flat little box and would make an excellent gift.

I bought this as a birthday present for my husband. I had gotten one for myself and loved it, so I thought he might too. I had worried that the scratchiness of his overnight stubble might harm the silk but it seems to be fine. The color was true to the picture. The fabric is a good weight and has a nice invisible zipper. After doing a lot of comparing and research, this seemed like a very good value for the price! It is real silk and comes with an information sheet which describes the benefits of silk and how to care for it. Also included a little swatch of silk for doubters to try the burn test. :) I hand wash it in Woolite in the sink and give a vinegar water rinse at the end, roll in a towel to get out excess water (no wringing) and hang to dry. Comes out great and I do iron it to restore that extra shiny smooth surface. After it is washed, there are some light wrinkles and it is very slightly less shiny because the fibers have been loosened. Also, be prepared to see a lot of color coming out in the wash water--more than just the first time! I've only washed it twice, but both times there has been a lot of color. However, the color of the pillowcase has remained the same vibrant peacock blue. We love the pillowcases and feel you get less crazy hair kinks and it is gentle on your skin. I don't worry about waking up with pillowcase wrinkles on my face any more! They also have made great luxurious gifts for a number of family members.Customer Service:I wanted to comment on the customer service I have received from the people at Ravmix. I have needed to contact them twice for a couple of different issues, and both times they have been very polite, kind, and responsive. One of those times, I was concerned about some fraying I was seeing in a seam, and without skipping a beat, they told me they'd be sending a new one! I was very impressed and grateful. I will continue to buy from them due to their good customer service and their nice products.

I like everything about this, except…it isn’t washer/dryer friendly. I did hand wash and line dry, and it dried quickly. I wish it was more convenient but I can’t complain about the soft comfortable feel.

Wonderful pillowcase. Much smoother than other silk pillowcases

The tag on these say it's silk, which is great and unlike other ads that say silk but arrive with 'polyester' on the tag.These wash up beautifully, dry quickly when hung, and the seams have held up perfectly so far.I'd say my hair is less frizzy, and I have fine hair so I notice it. I also notice that I don't wake up with wrinkles on my face like I do when I use my cotton pillowcases.Great product and great price!

I can't believe how lovely and soft and shiny my hair has been since using this pillow slip. I have put off buying one for ages because I wasn't sure I could justify the expense. I am so glad I did finally buy one, my hair is completely different now, its no longer frizzy and so easy to manage. I am going buy another one.

This pillow case is a dream to sleep on, silky smooth. I've had mine for a couple of months now and am happy so far.
