Yup, that baby's misspelled, all right.
Another reviewer has correctly pointed out that "Lady Chatterley's Lover" is misspelled on this mug as "Lady Chatterly's Lover." I've not read the book in question (perhaps the person who put the name on the mug hadn't, either), but from what I've heard it's not a book that gets read for its spelling, so I can rock with it. I'd rather it was spelled correctly, and you need to know that the misspelling is not a "one mug aberration." It seems to be on all of them. But the colors are nice against the black of the mug, and there's a lot of dramatic interest in the way they twist around the surface of it. I gave this as a gift to an artsy friend, so those last two things were important to me. Nice quality mug, heavy and large, suitable for soup, cocoa, hot milk, or hot buttered rum. I don't think it's dishwasher safe, but coffee mugs aren't hard to wash, are they?

Clever and heavy enough for every day
It's a very sturdy mug. The colors and the printing being of different sizes makes it make it very attractive. The topic is a fin one too because when you read the titles of what books have been banned you will wonder why because a voracious reader you have read if not all at least most of them! this is for a raffle basket I am putting together for a benefit and it will be the centrpiece since it is so attractive.

Great for Ph.D. candidate in History
Gave this to my niece's boyfriend who is getting his Ph.D. in history; added a note "May your books be radical enough to be banned someday." Very cool moment when he opened it. It's a great mug, well made, durable, with an excellent variety of book titles that have been banned in the past -- classics, masterpieces, works of art. Great gift.

Perfect for the reader in your life!
I bought this mug for myself. For the price, it was so worth it! I use it probably once or twice a week for my morning coffee. I love seeing the banned book titles, since many of the books on here are some of my favorites. I have put it in the dishwasher numerous times and it looks good as new. I would highly recommend it. I think it would also make a great gift for anyone in your life that loves to read.

The best cup I ever bought
I’m just hoping all the knuckle-dragging Neanderthals get to see it.

Great cup, if it stays in one piece...
I'm a huge reader, and a BIG proponent of making people aware of just how ridiculous banning books is. So when I saw this cup, I immediately knew that I wanted it (I also collect tea cups for my tea collection :) ) I ordered it and was able to use it three times before it cracked down the side on the fourth time I put hot water in it. Thankfully, Amazon has a fabulous return policy. However, I really liked the cup, so I thought I would try it again. So far, this cup has been used several times with no problems, so I may have just gotten a cup from a bad batch.I love the cup and get lots of comments on it, even with the misspelling of "Chatterly". I can live with it, as sadly, most aren't even aware of it.

Great gift.
I needed a gift for a book lover getting her doctorate in the library sciences who also happens to have an obsession with tea and coffee. This was perfect it is so nice looking in person, and she LOVED that it had the banned book titles all over it.

the bees' knees
this mug is rad. it arrived well-protected and is a nice shape for holding things. it even has this crazy handle on it so you can put hot liquid in there without burning the hand that holds it. on the outside are the names of all these books, in different fonts and colors, and the word "BANNED" is on there, relief map-style, with raised letters. i will definitely use this mug for all of my daily coffee needs, but i am keeping it at home because it is so cool that my coworkers will want to steal it.
