The best there is yet!
I had tried several IR remotes like Zebronics and HomeMate to control my ACs Handsfree previously but none of them worked properly with Alexa. After returning and retrying many other products I finally came upon BroadLink's IR Remote and boy it is such a refreshing feeling to see such a good product with genuine care from a Chinese company. The first thing that I noticed that they provided a longer USB cable than most other companies and also it is flat for more durability. They even provided a wall mounter if you decide to try that out. The instructions provided with the box is very easy to understand and explains each step clearly. Even the Broadlink App is clean and easy to use and has more explanations in each step than most other Smart Apps(even better than SmartLife imo). Finally when it comes to the product, it just works! The device was very easy to set up and to start it running. The software UI and firmware built in to the IR remote is better than most other remotes and is very clean, stable and easy to use. It doesn't have any problems reconnecting to my home network after a current cut off. Alexa Integration was also smooth and instant. I was immediately able to start voice controlling my ACs. The one other cool feature that I found that other Apps doesn't have is that it allows shortcuts to device remotes to be placed directly to the home screen. This is makes it so much easier to access and turn on a device using the phone. The only two problems that I found with the whole process is that1. For some reason for the added remote to work with Carrier ACs I had to turn on VSwing to Auto(Even though it doesn't do anything). Otherwise it would not work. It is weird but not a big issue for me because once I set it, it works just fine.2. Also I should mention that the Broadlink Remote doesn't come with button learning feature. So there is no way to add custom buttons to already added remotes. This is only thing I wish that BroadLink would add to their product to make it awesome.Overall I would happily recommend this product over other IR remotes as it is much easier, more stable, and more intuitive to use. I only wish they would add the button learning feature soon. I even went ahead and ordered the humidity and temp sensor that works with IR Remote.Edit:---- I mentioned before that it didn't have any way to learn custom buttons but that isn't entirely correct. It is true that you cannot add custom buttons to an added remote but there is an option to make a custom remote that can have all sorts of custom buttons that you can make it learn using your physical remote.

Product is fine but customer service is VERY poor
In case you have doubts regarding the product, you have nobody to reach out to as their customer service is non existant. It’s better than Homemate but since there are no other options, you are stuck with this. I hope a better brand comes in this category soon.

Helpfull but lacks online database of IR codes for modern devices
I had to settle for local device learning via keying in every input from the original device , not helpful if your original remote is lost or broken , it has barley any online database of online device IR codes

Worth it
Works with voltas HVAC systems also. Broadlink app is also very user friendly and smooth. Unlike other third grade local applications

Worst
Costlier than others. It has hardly any remote for standard brand like Hitachi,Sony. Doesn't know GTPL SETTOP BOX. ALEXA INTEGRATION IS VERY POOR. Doesn't have any power adaptor. You have to buy sepatayely
