Does the job
When I ordered these, I paid attention to the important things, but missed the fact that this price is for 2 pendants, so I'm doubly happy.Assuming you have the correct size screwdriver (mine are either too wide or too narrow) these are a doddle to fit.I've never "done" electrics before so I thought I'd just open it up and look. If it was obvious what to do I would go ahead, if not, I'd close it back up again and leave it alone. It was obvious. For some reason my house is fitted with light bulbs that aren't that easy to find, they certainly can't be bought at my local supermarkets. So, I made the decision to change them to something that can be found anywhere. I thought I'd start off with one and see how it went. Now that I know how easy it is to swap the pendants over, I will do the rest of the house, and I will buy these specific pendants from this seller. They arrived quickly, they are an absolute bargain and the most important thing is, they work.

All good
Did the job though you'll need to buy an electrical screwdriver set as the screws where you attache the wires are very small, too small for a standard screwdriver.

"Status" 6-inch Ceiling Pendant with Lampholder
I ordered this 6 inch (flex length, that is) ceiling pendant (from BulbsTubes) but actually received a 9 inch one (Model SL619). It was well packaged and arrived on the 4th day after placing the order. The plastic is good quality and has a nice finish, as pictured. However, the lampholder head with the pins is not as pictured: there are no screws but rivets instead, aligned on an axis perpendicular to the axis on which the pins are aligned. Also, the pins stand in a black plastic well; they do not protrude from a flat piece of black plastic as pictured, and the plastic does not have a BS number present. Also, the threads in the lamp holder are defective, so it would be very easy indeed to cross thread the lamp holder when fitting a lampshade, thereby making the item useless: poor quality. For this reason, I do not recommend anybody purchase this product. It is worth mentioning that the item does not have a CE mark, but does have British Standard marks: BS EN 61184 stamped on the metal bulb holder, and BS 67 on the plastic rose that you screw in to the ceiling. The metal bulb holder is also stamped with the following:"2A 250V~ T2"Cutting the cable to length should be a fairly simple task for any adult. However, it is still something I really didn't want to have to do, which is why I went to the trouble of seeking a product with the correct length of cable in the first place. The seller did promise to send a free replacement for the faulty item.Anyway, I placed an order for a second 6 inch ceiling pendant, but again received the wrong length. This second one was labelled as a 9 inch ceiling pendant (Model SL619), but was actually an 8 inch one. However, there were no faults with the lamp-holder threads this time. After receiving the above, the seller noted my complaints and promptly despatched two replacement ceiling pendants with lamp holders. They were almost identical to the previous ones received, but with the following differences:1) they both had a six inch flex (as advertised and ordered);2) they both had stickers that displayed the following: T2 Rated; 100W Max; CE. Separate stickers also displayed the following: QC Pass; 15-4-2014; SW-001;3) A plastic grip, positioned at the upper end of the flex, on the inner side of the plastic rose, held the flex and helped ensure that the weight of all that dangled from the flex did not pull directly on the wires, so as to minimise the likelihood of wires being pulled loose from their terminals;4) The clear plastic that holds the terminals is moulded with a CE mark;5) The model number is ML 8260 (this is the model pictured in the listing on Amazon);6) The plastic part of the lamp holder that holds the lampshade in place is 3.4cm in length, rather than 2.6cm with the previous model (but the two are interchangeable. The former hides the unsightly part of the bulb a little better than the latter). It also has a level rim, as opposed to a tapered rim on the previous model.Given the seller's prompt response to correct his errors, I would not hesitate to order from him again. However, buyers should note that no end of electrical goods are now produced in China and may not conform to the standards indicated by the markings represented on the product (though that may or may not be so in this case. The place of manufacture is not stated).I should, perhaps, add that the seller didn't approve of my feedback comments and had them removed, so as not to negatively affect his feedback ratings. The feedback was as follows (he claimed it constituted a "review" as opposed to "feedback", so was able to have it removed):"Ordered a 6 inch ceiling pendant, received a 9 inch one. Well packaged, slightly different to pictures provided. Arrived 4th day after placing order. Threads in Lamp Holder are defective."

Easy to fit and attractive
Received quickly and punctually. It fitted easily once I had found out how to connect the wiring. Only limited instructions included but clear instructions are available on YouTube. Much better and easier to fit than the one it replaced - a good purchase on my part. Will certainly buy again if I need another.

This light fitting was a bit of a pain in the ***. Whilst on the face of it, it looks like a decent light fitting but the screws to the connections are encased in plastic which ended up snapping when trying to unscrew them because of the angle at which it sat together.I initially thought the multi-compartments for the wires was a good idea but as I had little play in the wires (due to previous wiring) I had to snap of all sections into one giant hole. The white plastic bit on the end screwed on to hold a light shade in place was too long so when the shade was attached, the blub would be hitting the bit of plastic before it could clip into place. This meant I had to cut about 5mm off the plastic to be able to install the bulb.Ended up taking a lot longer to install than I previously envisaged. Partly because of how the house was previously wired but mainly because of the product being unsuitable.

GOOD PODUCT
The item arrived the day after the order was placed . It seems well made and sturdy . I have very heavy glass and metal light shade. The original fitting was over 50 years old and very worn. This new fitting was a doddle to fit and a few hefty tugs later convinced me it was solid. And all for such a keen price.I can't find anything negative to say about it.Pity really . I do love a rant. But it has been denied me in this instance .

Very good quality, and great value
For a basic installation of a light pendant they're all you need. Come with everything you need apart from screws/rawl plugs to fix them to the ceiling. So, yes they include terminal blocks. Backplate is transparent plastic, which is unusual but fine. Wires going to light pendant just wrap around hooks on the back plate for strain relief, so if you have a very, very heavy lamp shade they might not be the best solution.
