Easy to read and decent charging speed even on Solar panels
I bought this specifically to charge AA and AAA batteries while hiking or camping, it is really light, charges both Nimh and Lithium Ion batteries has a smart system that can tell which battery is installed, and even allows different size and types of batteries to be charged at the same time. The AAA batteries are a little tricky in the installation and like to pop out in my backpack so I solved this by simply using a rubber band around the charger and batteries. easy and it works to hold them in. This worked with my solar panel but I am sure it beat up the batteries a bit by the constant power fluctuations as I was hiking in and out of shade. It states it needs a 2AMP power supply but My solar only put out about 1.5 to 1.7AMP so not sure if this will do anything to the longevity of the product but for now it is working great and meets my needs.UPDATE 7/10/2024So after using this for several months It has become my go to charger. Its fast, easy to use, runs well off my solar panels, both my smaller one and my 120watt panel. I have found that simply putting a pony tail holder around the batteries when charging AAA size will hold them in place when in my backpack. I have successfully brought a few batteries that other chargers refused to charge back to life again. I have used it for NiCad, NIMH, and Lithium Ion and it charged them all with ease, and the lithium ion that were getting up to 140 degrees using my other charger, they registered 105 using this...much better This thing is super light and easy to tote around, it uses a common USB-C cord so that is easy to find if you were to lose the one it comes with. I am seriously thinking of getting a second one to use around the house because it works so well. It seems to be pretty durable, it took a dive from about 10 feet bounced on the ground a few times and landed on a small cliff, still works perfectly, yeah it got a few scratches from the fall but it;s cosmetic. Still works great.

Amazing features for the price.
For the money, I doubt you'll find a better battery charger. My degree is in computer electronics and most batteries run from 1.2 to 1.5 volts depending on the materials used to make them. Most rechargable batteries run out of power and are recharged before they reach a critically low power level. However, our daughter had a small AAA powered LED lamp that she liked to keep by her bed when she was young. LED's are light emitting diodes that turn on at 0.7 volts, so when running overnight, it was typical for the battery to be bright enough to not need fresh batteries at bedtime, but by morning, the rechargeable batteries were so drained because LEDs stay on until a low voltage that you could barely see any light.I say this because my last smart charger wasn't so smart. Because the batteries were so completely discharged, when I put them in the smart charger to recharge, the smart charger would just tell me the battery was dead and it would not attempt to charge. After several batteries I realized the batteries were not the problem, but the old charger I had. Luckily, I didn't trash the batteries the charger said were dead. To test this, I used an old 'dumb' charger that put power across the battery no matter what. These so called 'dead' batteries charged just fine, but the smart charger was better otherwise. So, I just started putting the depleted batteries in the dumb charger literally for less than 5 seconds, and that would temporarily charge the battery enough that the smart charger would do its 1 second test, see the battery was healthy, then charge the battery correctly. This charger does not have that problem. This charger will test the battery and if it is extremely depleted, it will recognize this and still test and charge the battery properly.Next problem this new smart charger solved. My old smart charger would only charge batteries in sets of 2 or 4, but not singles. My daughters lamp used 3 batteries at a time, so I could only charge 2, and I had to leave 1 in the charger until the next set of 3 needed to be charged, and then I'd charge 4 bateries. That's not a big deal, but it became annoying. This charger will charge batteries in any configuration, from a single battery through all four. That's a nice upgrade from my old so called smart charger. My old smart charger had a red and green LED to tell you the charging status. Red, charging, green, fully charged. But this charger tells you the stage of charging the INDIVIDUAL batteries are at. 0%, 25%, 50%, 75%, and fully charged. That may not be a big deal since most people throw batteries in the charger and walk away, but it's a nice feature that helped make this charger stand out to me.The main selling point for me was this charger would recharge batteries that were so discharged that other chargers would not charge them.

Does the job.
Best thing about this is that it charges each battery individually rather than in pairs like other chargers. This should help extend battery life. Included cable is a bit short and it could charge a little faster. Minor quibbles though.

Great for what it is
It's a simple, inexpensive NiMH charger that will charge one battery at a time. It's rather unremarkable, but I like the USB power and it seems to keep my batteries in good shape, unlike some name-brand chargers I've used (Energizer, Rayovac). I do have a La Crosse charger that is much nicer than this, but it's old, clunky, cost 5x as much, and doesn't have the convenience of USB power. I use that when my batteries need some love but use this most of the time.

Small, convenient and it works!
Excellent for traveling overseas and keeping your batteries charged! Very nice interface to see status of Batteries as well.

Saved a few batteries from the recycling bin
For years, I've been using a NiMH AA/AAA that came with a small set of Energizer rechargeables. I'm noticing lately, though, that it complains and refuses to charge some of my batteries--even some that are nearly new. Reading up in discussion forums, I came to understand that sometimes older, dumber chargers can make incorrect diagnoses of battery failure based on low charging levels.I took all the old batteries I'd tossed into a bag for later recycling, and tried them in this charger; it was able to charge every one of them. Based on this alone, the charger has already more than paid for itself. The display is nice and bright and indicates the relative charging level (0-33-66-100). I especially love that it will charge individual batteries; my older one would only charge matched pairs, and it was a bit of a pain when I had a device that only needed one battery. Or three.

So far so good!
It charges batteries and works well. I like the fact that it can charge batteries independently rather than in pairs. I've had it about a week and it hasn't given me any issues so far, will update later in the year!
